Check boxes to allow recording of all the symbols which appear to the right of the plant name in the RHS Plant Finder. Including:
AGM (Award of Garden Merit) Double-flowered, Fruit, female, male, variegated, PBR (Plant breeders Rights) Also check boxes for the American awards: AAS Gold Medal AAS All America selection

A new pop-up allows the user to select from one of these parameters The data is stored as a code. When a list of plants is displayed, this part of
the plant name is not used in indexing. This is one of the features which allows the plants to be listed in Ideas Genie Pro in the order as they appear in the best gardening reference books.

Complex Names Plant Name and Short Name
|
Some plant names are extremely complex. Without making the system overly complicated, this is my solution.
Very simply, plant names that “dont fit” go into these new fields One field for the FULL plant name (in all its glory). One field for a Short Name
When you list plants, you have the option to display the Full name or the Short Names For more info, read the section on Extended functionality
