About this screen
Screen GA100S87 allows you to rename the
file name of a photo. Refer to Screenshot GA100S87-5
Please note that renaming a photo is not necessary for use in Ideas Genie. I
have discovered that some users like to rename their photos using. The software required considerable development to deal with the problems that improperly re-named files
caused. e.g. Files which had a space immediately before the dot in the file name. Files which had been given very long names (more than 100 characters). These are no
longer a problem in Ideas Genie.
However, we recommend that you do NOT use Windows File Explorer to rename your photo file names. Instead, use the features in the screen described on this page.
How to get to this screen (GA100S87)
1) In GA604, add a photo and get into screen GA100S15. Click Add a photo and get into screen GA100S16. Select a photo and click Rename
button. Takes you to screen GA100S89 where you type in a new Name for the photo, then click Rename. NOTES:- You can edit the file name either before linking, or after
linking to a plant. I recommend linking to the plant BEFORE editing.
After you have linked a plant to a photo, click the Rename button in GA604S16. In this mode,
when you get to GA100S89, note that the name of the plant is shown. Use the up Arrow icon to insert the plant name to the photo.
2) In GA630, the Rename button is in
the initial screen GA630S01.
3) In GA605, click Add a photo in the initial screen GA605S01. That will take you to GA605S02. You will see the new Rename button in
that screen.
